Closing of women fish vendors Project By LM International -South- Central -Somalia
The Strengthening and Expanding Income Generation for Women Fish Vendors in the Banadir Region project was successfully closed by the LM International – Somalia program, marking a significant achievement in empowering women fish vendors in Mogadishu. During the closing ceremony, the participants expressed immense satisfaction and gratitude for the skills and knowledge they had gained throughout the training program. The event was a celebration of the hard work and dedication shown by the women throughout the project.
As part of the closing activities, the cooperative was provided with a start-up fund of USD 5,000 to help launch its cooperative business, allowing it to pool resources, share knowledge, and strengthen its bargaining power in the market. This financial support was a crucial step toward ensuring the cooperative’s long-term sustainability.
